1. Introduction
EMPS Electrical Power Solutions (Pty) Ltd (“EMPS”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring that your personal information is collected and used properly, lawfully, and transparently in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 4 of 2013 (POPIA).
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal information when you interact with us, including through our website, social media platforms, and services.
2. What Personal Information We Collect
We may collect and process the following types of personal information:
- Full name and surname
- Contact details (phone number, email address, WhatsApp)
- Physical address (for service delivery)
- Company details (if applicable)
- Payment or billing information
- Technical or service-related information (e.g., electrical system details)
- Any information you voluntarily provide to us
3. How We Collect Information
When online quotation submission is available, your name, email, phone, service selection and message pass through our website server over HTTPS to EMPS’s Google Apps Script. It saves the enquiry in the Website Enquiries sheet and attempts to email the sales team. The thank-you confirmation is shown only after the script confirms that the response was saved.
When online submission is unavailable, the quotation form prepares an email draft instead. The careers form also prepares an email draft. Review it and press Send in your email app. The website cannot confirm email delivery.
For careers enquiries, include relevant skills and experience only; do not submit ID documents, banking details, health information or other people’s contact details at this stage.
Neither form stores its content in a website database or browser local storage. Unsent details are held in page memory and are lost when you leave or reload. Online quotation responses are stored by Google for EMPS. Your email application may save email drafts according to its own settings.
